I transfer data from the PC without internet to the PC with internet (and Avast!) and I think every time I plug in my memory stick to the PC without internet it gets a virus.

Now here comes the problem: I can't remove the virus on the PC without internet because I deleted it's anti-virus (it used to have internet about a year ago) and I can't install an anti-virus because it doesn't have internet. So, my question to you is, is there a way to install anti-virus on a PC without internet?

Best Answer: You can actually install antivirus software without an internet connection either using a CD with the software or by downloading the set up installer [using another PC that does connect to the internet] and transfering it to the PC with a web connection via a flash drive or similar.

The trouble is, that an antivirus program is only as good as its last update and without regular updates [visa the internet] the antivirus will get out of date signature files and not be effective at blocking malware. More antivirus software updates daily or at least every 48hrs and without the internet updates it will become next to useless very quickly. There is one way to get what you want.

You could download and use the free portable version of Clamwin Antivirus from here: It runs from a USB flash drive and doesn't need to be installed on a PC. However it still needs to be regularly updated with new signatures from the internet. So as long as you connect the flash drive to the system you have that does have an internet connection, for regular signature updates, you can then plug the drive into the other PC [without an internet connection] to scan for malware.
